Brazilian Jiu Jitsu

Brazilian Jiu Jitsu is rooted in self-defense. The concept of it's founders is that a smaller, weaker individual can apply the techniques learned and successfully defend themself from a larger opponent. This combat sport, derived from Judo, focusses on the ground portion of a fight. These classes will teach you how to take a fight to the ground, gain dominate positions, and how to use submissions such as joint locks and chokeholds to successfully subdue an attacker.

All of our classes are designed for the beginning student. New student's will always have a more experienced partner to help them understand the techniques taught during the class as well as our instructors that are always walking around the room to help and correct as needed.

Safety is our #1 priority! Brazilian Jiu Jitsu provides us with the opportunity to train at any intensity with a minimal threat of injury. We know all of our students have lives and responsibilities the other 23 hours a day they aren't training, so we do what we can to make sure you are safe during the time you spend with us while still getting a great workout.
